Vermont Town Gets Dose of Reality |

When new neighbors began clearing a large section of their property immediately after moving in, it was expected.
When the town office was approached, a single piece of paper indicated intentions of a swimming pool and offset garage.
The neighbor kept to himself as he cleared some section of his upper lot. Ten foot by ten foot bay doors to a 2000+ sqare foot garage with attic office space seemed a little extreme for a man driving his own comany vehicles.
In talking to the neigbor, it was found that he had 2 comany vans and possibly a third vehicle. A small electrical installation comany was moving into the proposed building.
This lot was over ten acres, and constructing the building would require serious State Permits as well, which the Town Mangaers were not aware of.
The next visit to the office revealed a second paper, after which the permit appeal period had expired.
It had information about the neighbors company, building dimentions and mentioned visits by UPS and Fed Ex.
The town's zoning book said projects go to the zoning board and neigbors are contacted if the conditions are not met. The limit was set at 500
square feet and one comany vehicle "pretty much". Doctor Soupy's mother, who was an active member of the zoning board, knew that we have been had.
She was told by the acting zoning administrator that she, "didn't know what she was talking about" and that "zoning rules had changed."
It is very disrespecful for a volonteer of the comunity to get harrassed in this manor.
Our properties are listed in the books as a wetlands and the main small pond was ditched at some point when the culvert washed out durring the neighbor's project.
All the neighbors agreed that beavers are a nuicance up and down the road. Scores of beavers are shot yearly sometimes. However, much more wildlife wildlife was either killed or misplaced
directly after the complete draining. The Owls were pissed. They cried for nights after their tree from forever was cut down. Bye. The turtles went scrambling and one got ran over by the neighbor, looking as squashed as a pancake.
Twenty frogs in a three square foot puddle of green sludge is not natural. The salamanders are gone indefinitely and now there are no catfish. Candaian geese would sometimes catch them, the flock did a right turn over it when the saw the field of green.
drSoupy might be up to a quarter Native American by blood. Definitely the Scottish by name, drSoupy has the heritage of a clans vs. tribes mutt. This is a dangerous combination when he takes it to wit. The town visually inpected and took pictures
of the folk's new sheep pen, obviously too close to the electric company drive. It was graciously moved.
My parents and I met with the Town Manager one day,
and when we arrived, the police were rushing to the scene of a shooting at the elementary school.
The managers were also talking
about a fool proof way to get the town and villiage to merge durring the next vote.
We were let in, not knowing that there would be a news conference in the same room
about the death of our beloved teacher and two others.
Note: Now there are four twisted endings to this story.
The shooter was not the Doctor, nor did he know the person, but reports said that his girlfriend
had contacted police prior to the event, saying that her boyfriend had a gun and that he was
threating to comit suicide.

When my nephiew's evil stepmother called the police department saying my
Nephiew's fater was threating to kill himself at my residence,
they responded with the entire force.
I was taking a nap the time of the threat and when I awoke there were ten new messages from the police department on the anwering machine downstairs.
I called the station to inquire of the nature of the emergency,
and was startled to find that there was a swat team and paddy wagon surrounding my house!
My road was shut down to traffic for over an hour.
I was ordered out and they did a search of the whole house.
The man who went on the rampage at the elementary school also had a girlfriend that called in a similar suicide threat from her boyfriend.
The shooter's lengthy criminal record was never ran and the mandatory wellfare check was not executed. Three people died.
In a small Vermont town, they knew the black man was a problem. I got the, "Every person is important, so we have to search
your house even if you looked. He could be hiding."

Everything Doctor Soupy was taught about his small town America being environmentally conscious and equal crumbled.
All projects in the town that have properties over ten acres, such as the Alliance Church recreational center, and the Essex Family Fun Center miniature golf course, probably required
state approval by law, under Act 250. This is same state that rejected the highway for IBM, leading to an endless crumble of the opperation. The old nature trail that I marked in middle school was a wetland. It was bulldozed for a soccer field. And there have been many other ponds filled around town in too.
The state says its ok business as long as they set aside a property protected from development.
Several Schoolboard members resigned after that citing fundamental differences with the Town. The police chief also resigned.
Q: Can you garentee that one phone call will not immediate stop the development of any other future project in Essex?
A: No.
Q: You do realize that larger companies would sue the Town?
A: Yes.

This is a dangerous game.
This means that the huge gymnasium for the church also needed
a permit, as did several other nearby projects.
The Town and The Village were hit with a back of the ballot item to merge.
The village residents are taxpayers of both the town and village, so their votes were counted twice, and many town residents were unaware
that the item was to be on the ballot at all.
The town has more residents, therefor, any vote can be revoted at will.
No merger on the second pass....
What the hell is going on here?
These are the warning signs of a serious social problem.
The other neighbors on the back drive are all right, exept for the incident when one of their german shepards ate the front leg off one of our sheep.
Interesting to note that drSoupy met the sister of the neighbors husband who owns the dogs at an early 2008 Funkwagon show at the Monkey House. She deeply regrets the indcident.

]SP[drSoupy was inscribed on the "Green Machine" and Randy made sure to outfit all the Ultrasaurs with red, white and blue hoses.
I would rather keep that job up here just in case if anything happens... Ping the Matrix_ Sammy, the cat, got hit by a car and after
a few shallow graves, found a permanent resting place in the animal graveyard.
drSoupy became Praxis' dishwasher soon after.
